Dr. Siegel uses the Identafi® screening unit to detect signs of oral cancer, which could be missed by other methods. The screening unit is used in the early detection of various types of pre-cancerous conditions.

The detection is made by shining a series of special white, blue fluorescent and amber lights inside the mouth to detect unusual and abnormal tissue growth or lesions. The Identafi® screening unit includes the ability to read metabolic and physiologic differences in diseased and healthy tissue in the human body, thus alerting the doctor to potentially dangerous conditions.
