One-Visit Dental Crowns with Breakthrough CEREC Technology

Using the amazing technology of Ceramic Reconstruction Crowns, Philadelphia dentist Kenneth Siegel can create permanent, natural-looking in jdental crowns ust one visit to the office!

Many dentists will give you temporary dental crowns or fillings and then have you come back weeks later to install your permanent tooth crown. But thanks to the modern technology located on-site at our Philadelphia dental office and over 25 years of experience, Dr. Siegel can complete most dental crowns in a single visit.

Now when you come in and need a dental crown, an inlay or even porcelain veneers, you can walk out with your new teeth in the same visit thanks to CEREC (CEramic REConstruction) technology!

Using CEREC, Dr. Siegel creates custom CEREC dental crowns, inlays, onlays, bridges and veneers in our offices while you wait. The CEREC restorations are lifelike and custom-made to match the natural color of your teeth. Dr. Siegel has vast experience creating one-visit dental crowns and has many of satisfied patients.

How Are Dental Crowns Created In One Visit?

First, Dr. Siegel takes a 3-dimensional photo of your tooth. Then our computer system analyzes your mouth structure to determine the best shape and dimensions for your new tooth crown, veneer or filling.

CEREC restorations are milled from a single block of high-quality ceramic, a substance that has the same characteristics as normal, healthy dental enamel. The milling process takes 4 to 6 minutes depending on the size of the replacement tooth.

Once the restoration is created, Dr. Siegel bonds the final restoration in place and you leave the office with a beautiful, permanent tooth crown.

Are CEREC Tooth Crowns Durable?

Yes, in fact, the material of your new tooth crown is even stronger than your natural teeth. CEREC ceramic expands in the same way as teeth do, and also because it comes from a single block, a CEREC restoration is less prone to cracks and flaws than other types of restorations. And with the new porcelain that is used, the CEREC tooth crowns are even stronger than metal crowns.

Beautiful, Natural-Looking Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays are a type of filling that are used as a restoration of a broken-down tooth or may replace an existing large filling. Learn more about inlays and onlays.

In the past, tooth-colored filling material was not durable enough to withstand the tremendous biting forces required by back teeth, which limited cosmetic dentistry to front teeth restorations. The CEREC system allows us to create beautiful tooth-colored inlays and onlays both for front and back teeth that match the color and appearance of the rest of your teeth. It creates the same translucence, color and brilliance of your natural healthy teeth.

Dr. Siegel recommends CEREC restorations due to their durability; typically the CEREC restorations he has seen, even after several years, are in the same condition as when first placed.
