A study appearing in The American Journal of Medicine indicates that common western eating habits make people age prematurely. On the other hand, it also found that one particular diet appears to do the opposite. Conducted by researchers at France’s national department of health (INSERM), the study looked at nearly a quarter of a century’s worth of data related to over 4300 adults. In the end, they determined that people who ate a western-type diet aged less gracefully when compared to people who ate according to the Alternative Healthy Eating Index (AHEI).

The Alternative Healthy Eating Index

Unlike western diets which consist mainly of high-fat dairy, refined grains, fried foods, red meat and sugar; the AHEI diet is made up of fish, vegetables and fruits. According to researchers, these latter foods don’t just promote better health; they help us maintain a more youthful look as we age.

You Can’t Unring a Bell

If we could all go back in time, the majority of us would make a host of different decisions that might have improved our current appearances. Sadly, most of us made plenty of poor dietary choices in our younger days. By making changes, we can slow down Father Time; that said, if you are already plagued by premature signs of aging, a new diet may not make much of an impact.

An Easy Way to Look Better

Many things can makes us look older, including poor diets, genetic traits and excessive sun exposure; however, quite often many of us owe age-related flaws to our dentures. Because they tend to offer poor support to facial tissues, traditional dentures create a sunk-in appearance. By causing our noses to appear closer to our chins, these antiquated devices make us look bitter, unhappy and much older. Fortunately, Dr. Siegel can significantly reduce the appearance of jowls, lip lines and chin wrinkles by providing the Denture Fountain of Youth®, which offer much more support to facial tissues.
