There may come a day when teeth regenerated from your own stem cells become the standard for replacing missing teeth.  Columbia professor and dental surgeon, TMJ, and has demonstrated that it is possible to create stem cell-based teeth as well.  While his research is also focused on joint growth that would replace prosthetic joints, he sees the common thread between that and dental work as “wound healing.”

Until stem cell-based teeth are available outside the laboratory, however, please feel free to visit Dr. Siegel if you’re interested in a dental implant. They are much more natural in the way they function than a dental bridge or a denture.
