The easiest way to see what you’ll look like with porcelain veneers is with digital imaging. We can take a picture of your smile and use digital software to modify your smile and simulate what you might look like with porcelain veneers. It won’t be totally accurate, but it will give you a good idea of the kinds of changes we can accomplish with porcelain veneers. It also allows us to try many different porcelain veneers options, changing out the number of veneers, the length of them, the shape, and even the colors. You can experiment with these different options to get a good idea about the porcelain veneer process you want.
Fake Veneers That You Can Feel
Once you think you have decided on the right number and style of porcelain veneers, we can try a physical test that will allow you to see your potential new smile in person, and even get a sense of what it might feel like. We do this using material that is similar to the material we use for dental bonding and tooth-colored fillings. We can apply it to your teeth, shape it, and polish it so that it looks like the veneers you might receive. You can try them on for a while, but because they’re not completely bonded to your teeth, they will come off shortly. In addition, if you decide that this is exactly what you want your smile to be like, we can use them to make the impression for your permanent veneers.
Lumineers
Lumineers aren’t really a temporary veneer or a way to try on porcelain veneers, but they are a veneer solution that can be made to be reversible. If you’re prepared to make an investment, but you’re not prepared to commit to an irreversible treatment, we might be able to help you with Lumineers. It’s important to note, though, that not everyone can get the results they’re looking for with Lumineers, especially if you want to make sure they’re reversible.
