How the Smile Makeover Process Works
Because a smile makeover is a purely custom process, it’s more important than anything else to make sure you and your cosmetic dentist are planning for the same results. This means that you will start by talking to Dr. Siegel about your goals for your smile makeover. Dr. Siegel will listen in detail, then he will make some notes here and there about potential options.
Then Dr. Siegel will evaluate the current condition of your mouth. This might be limited to a visual inspection. However, it might also include x-rays, including special x-rays designed to highlight certain parts of your teeth and gums. He might also evaluate you for TMJ and other bite problems. We need to know about these before we start because they could impact your results and we might want to treat them as part of your smile makeover.
Once Dr. Siegel has completed his assessment, he will offer you one or more treatment options. Cosmetic dentistry has many tools, and sometimes it’s possible to achieve the same or very similar result with different approaches. Then you can talk to Dr. Siegel and others on our staff about their opinions. That way, you can understand the benefits and limitations of each approach. You can look at the proposed changes either on a computer, sculpted in wax, or potentially even as temporary restorations you can wear to help you decide.
Each option will come with a cost estimate and a time estimate. You will choose the option that best achieves your goals while meeting any other limitations you might have, like a budget.
Then Dr. Siegel will help you design a schedule for completing your smile makeover. Some procedures must be done in a certain order and timetable. Others can be spaced out or rearranged depending on your preferences and budget.
If budget is a concern, remember: we offer affordable and flexible payment options.
Custom Smile Makeover for a Beautiful, Confident You
A smile makeover is a personalized combination of cosmetic dentistry treatments designed to transform your teeth and enhance your smile. Dr. Siegel may use procedures like bonding, teeth whitening, tooth-colored fillings, Lumineers, veneers, dental crowns, implants, or bridges to achieve the look you desire. By selecting the right treatment and utilizing the latest in dental technology, Dr. Siegel can give you an attractive new smile that boosts your self-esteem and makes you look fabulous.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin, advanced ceramic shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth, improving their shape, color, and alignment. They are a highly versatile solution in cosmetic dentistry, ideal for covering discoloration, repairing chips, straightening teeth, and closing gaps. Some smile makeovers can be achieved entirely with porcelain veneers. For a more minimal approach, our dentist may recommend Lumineers—an alternative to traditional veneers that require less preparation. Whether it’s concealing chips, stains, or discoloration, veneers are expertly crafted to enhance your smile with beautiful, lasting results.
Laser Gum Recontouring
Your teeth may be the stars of your smile, but your gums set the stage. If you have a “gummy” smile or uneven gums, it can throw off the balance. With noninvasive laser gum recontouring, we can reshape your gums to make teeth appear more uniform and in proportion. Whether it’s correcting gum height, texture, or color, crown lengthening can fix these variations and improve your smile’s overall appearance.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
If you’re unhappy with old, unattractive metal fillings, we can replace them with durable, tooth-colored fillings for a more natural look. For small fillings, we use composite material—a blend of plastic and ceramic—while for larger restorations, we recommend ceramic inlays or onlays. Tooth-colored fillings are a beautiful and long-lasting dental restoration, blending seamlessly with your natural teeth. They are strong, durable, and bond to your tooth structure, helping to repair decay, cracks, or fractures, while resisting temperature changes unlike silver fillings.

Invisalign
Orthodontics offer multiple approaches to straightening your teeth, helping you achieve a smile that looks attractive and feels confident. Whether through traditional braces or a more discreet option like Invisalign, a cosmetic dentist can guide you toward the best treatment for your needs. Invisalign uses clear, custom-made aligners to gradually straighten teeth, making it a comfortable alternative to wire-bracket braces. The aligners are removable, so you can eat, brush, and floss as usual, while treating a variety of issues such as crowding, crossbites, and underbites.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a cosmetic treatment similar to composite tooth-colored fillings that can reshape your teeth and repair flaws like discoloration, chips, or cracks. Using composite resin, a dentist matches the material to your natural tooth color and adheres it to your teeth to hide imperfections. While dental bonding is a helpful solution for repairing flawed teeth, it is less durable than restorations like veneers. However, it provides a quick and effective way to reshape or repair your smile, restoring both function and aesthetics.
Teeth Whitening
Discolored teeth can make you appear older and unhealthy, but teeth whitening removes stains and helps your smile look brighter and more youthful. Whether your teeth are yellow from eating, drinking, or smoking, in-office whitening is ideal for transforming the appearance of your teeth. It’s a convenient and effective way to address stains caused by external factors. Say goodbye to discolored teeth and hello to a dazzling, beaming smile with our professional teeth whitening services, giving your smile a healthy, radiant glow.
Dental Crowns
A dental crown is a custom-made, cap-like restoration that completely covers the visible surface of a tooth, providing strength, support, and protection. Made from advanced ceramic, crowns are designed to look and feel like natural teeth, offering the same cosmetic benefits as a veneer while also strengthening a damaged or weakened tooth. A dental crown is designed to blend seamlessly with your smile, restoring both the function and appearance of your tooth.
